Our attitudes make all the difference and take care of the planet.
One example is our investment in the community. Through Algar Institute, we developed three social programs focused on education at public schools and benefit 5.400 primary school students and 540 educators.
Through the partnership with 116 schools in 11 cities and five states, activities are carried out training educators and students once the educational aim is developing reading and writing.
Within the developed programs for the associates involvement (as employees are called) Algar companies are voluntary in some actions. In 2011, we had 476 members participating as volunteers.

The Algar Institute (IAR) is an Algar Holding organization whose main
aim to disseminating the culture bringing more education to the community.
The projects have given priority to reading and writing - not only in words,
but the world - and the investments are made through three projects: Algar Education,
Algar Reading , Algar Transforms.

Algar Tecnologia think about the next generations future and
environment care. Therefore, in all environments, the recyclables
collections are present at the company.
In addition, we conserve a forest, where most of the trees were planted by
customers. Another sustainable measure that we adopt in our culture is the
use of paper made from reforested wood.
